Body Protection Compound-157 (BPC-157)
Body Protection Compound-157 (BPC-157) is a peptide created from a partial sequence of 15 amino acids derived from body protection compound (BPC). BPC is a protein that was first isolated from human gastric juices and is believed to protect the gastrointestinal lining and promote healing. BPC-157 has been found to contain many of the same properties.
BPC-157
BPC-157 has been shown to promote wound healing, vascular growth, tendon healing, and prevent oxidative stress in animal studies. BPC-157 has also been shown to prevent the development of gastric ulcers and protect organs. It acts on the digestive tract systemically to battle against several gastrointestinal disorders, such as Crohn’s disease, IBS, and gastro-intestinal cramps. BPC-157 exhibits analgesic characteristics and promotes blood flow to damaged tissues. It does this by increasing reticulin and collagen formation, along with stimulating macrophage and fibroblast infiltration to assist in wound healing.
